As a local strategist, you are part of our team at the Local and Service Unit.
You will work independently and together with others to ensure that our office spaces meet the needs of the organization in terms of functionality, comfort, and safety. With us, you will have the opportunity to prepare others.
Your responsibilities and tasks
In the role of local strategist, you will work with your colleagues on the authority's local needs and workplace issues. You will drive and lead projects related to premises, such as renovations, relocations, and optimization of existing spaces. You will analyze the organization's needs and develop strategies for space utilization.
Your tasks include handling ongoing local issues, leading and coordinating management and overall development work in the area, as well as developing and maintaining local instructions and routines.
Your skills and competencies
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an academic education in real estate/economics/project management or other education or experience that MSB deems equivalent
- Has several years of experience working with local and workplace issues
- Has the ability to analyze needs, plan strategically, and drive change
- Has experience leading projects, preferably within premises, construction, or organizational development
- Has good IT skills
- Has a good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with challenging local projects
- Education or experience in Facility Management
- Worked with practical application of physical security related to premises, such as perimeter security, locking and alarm systems, and various IT components
- Experience working in security-sensitive and/or government operations
- Experience working in public administration and document management
- Experience in crisis preparedness
To fit into the role of local strategist, we are looking for someone who is analytical and communicative, and by seeing the big picture, has the ability to prioritize the right issues. Furthermore, you are an unpretentious team player who contributes energy and shares your ideas and experiences. You enjoy working in a structured manner and independently organizing and driving your work forward within the framework of the assignment.
In this role, you will have many contact points and close collaboration with several parties, both within and outside the authority. Therefore, you need to communicate in a responsive manner and be good at building relationships where the client is the focus. MSB places high demands on security and confidentiality, so we expect you to have a high security awareness.

About the employment
We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period.
Your place of employment will be in Stockholm, and travel is required in the position.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment at MSB as it involves placement in a security class. For employment, a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check is required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act. About us
The position is placed in the Department of Operational Support at the Local and Service Unit. The unit's task is to manage, develop, maintain, and follow up on the work with internal support and services. This includes premises supply, travel coordination, and office services.
The Local and Service Unit is responsible for premises supply, internal services, and the physical protection of our premises in Karlstad and Stockholm. The unit consists of about 12 employees distributed across both locations with various competencies and areas of responsibility.
